I believe that games are a great way for students to have fun while learning new things. It is also a great, informal way for students to showcase what they have learned at the end of a lesson. Teachers should encourage students to create games as well in order to broaden their horizons and think about the material in a new way. Games should compliment the lesson and help to further facilitate deeper learning and understanding.
Here are a few games I created for younger children. The first is a matching game for the 4 seasons. The other is hangman with colors of the rainbow!
